Android 4.1 Jelly Bean available for the Australian ASUS Transformer TF300
A big thanks to Angelo who just alerted us to the fact that the Australia version of the ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 is now receiving Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
We’ve reached out to ASUS Australia for an official word on the update, but assuming that everything is going smoothly all TF300s should be getting the update shortly!
If you’ve got an ASUS TF300 then head over the the Settings -> About -> Software Update -> Check Now section of your tab. And, well, enjoy!
Be sure to let us know if you get the update and how it goes below!
Thanks: Angelo!
Australian ASUS Transformer Pad TF300 (and original?) receiving Jelly Bean update in the next two weeks
ASUS Australia has just let word out that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Transformer Pad 300 should be here in the next two weeks. After tweeting at the @ASUSAU Twitter page over the weekend, I received a response saying that the update should be coming soon. You can view it here:

In fact, one of the users who asked ASUS was asking in reference to the original Transformer Pad. The answer was the same for that, so we may be seeing an update to other ASUS tablets over the coming weeks too. Get …

Review: Asus Transformer Pad TF300
The Asus Transformer Pad 300 is a lot of fun, to say the least. It’s one of those niche devices that is neither this nor that – in this case it’s not quite a laptop, but it’s not just a tablet either. Much like the relatively new phablet (phone + tablet) scene. In this sense it’s a little limited by its very own design: it can’t be all that a laptop can be, although it most certainly can be a tablet. But if you want just a tablet, you can get the even newer and Jelly Bean-wielding Google Nexus 7 at a much cheaper price. So it really comes down to what you want from your device. However I think …
ASUS TF300 available now – TF700, PadFone coming in July
ASUS yesterday announced via its Facebook page that the Transformer Pad 300 (TF300) is now available! You can grab it from several Australian retailers, as seen here. The TF300 is ASUS’ budget-friendly Transformer Pad, yet it still runs on a quad-core Tegra 3 processor as well as having up to 15 hours of battery life on one charge and an HD screen.
However, this is not the only news ASUS has let out in the last few days. ASUS has been nice enough to respond to fans’ questions on its Facebook page and let everyone know that two new high-end and revolutionary devices will be making their way down under in July. The feature-packed older brother of the TF300, …
