MORE FROM LG
Marking LG’s foray into the higher end of Android smartphones, the Optimus 2X is LG’s first dual-core Android smartphone. As you’d expect, the phone is significantly faster than its single-core predecessors, but does have a tendency to crash some apps: it seems that the Android system has not been totally optimised for the new design of the NVIDIA Tegra system-on-a-chip. As part of its newfound computational power, the Optimus 2X is able to offer a previously unseen feature: full HD screen mirroring by HDMI. This is particularly useful for those looking to share presentations or videos from their phone onto a big screen. The benchmarks offered by this system are undoubtedly impressive, offering the user a snappy and enjoyable system that can take almost anything thrown at it.
