Telstra offering 16GB Nexus 9 and Xperia Z2 Tablet for $299 and $399

Bargain hunters and Christmas shoppers, now’s the ideal opportunity to nab the Nexus 9 or Xperia Z2 Tablet — perhaps even both — with Telstra reducing the price of each on their online store.

The HTC-made Nexus 9 and Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet are both pretty outstanding tablets for different reasons, and Telstra is for the moment willing to let you have either WiFi only 16GB model for $299 or $399 respectively. As is the norm nowadays, the Nexus 9 has no option for expandable storage by way of a microSD card, however the Z2 Tablet does.

While the Z2 Tablet isn’t the newest tablet from Sony out in the market, it still gives a good lot of them a run for their money, and if you were to snap up the deal, you’d be saving more than $400 on the 32GB Xperia Z4 Tablet which the carrier sells outright for more than $800 — though it can be purchased through Sony for $799.

By comparison, the Nexus 9 is still Google’s current flagship tablet and the black 16GB WiFi model available in this offer retails for $479 on the Google Store.

This deal originally showed up on OzBargain earlier today, so all credit goes to the keen-eyed folks over there. It looks as though there’s enough stock currently for orders to post straight to your doorstep, for those ready to go for this — with free delivery, we should add.

Not a bad price for either, we say.
