Sony Australia releases Xperia Z4 Tablet
The IFA 2015 trade show may be ready to commence in Berlin, but Sony Mobile Australia has today announced the Xperia Z4 Tablet is now available in Australia. The Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet was first announced around six months ago at MWC 2015 in Barcelona and since then we’ve waited and waited for Sony Australia to officially make its latest flagship tablet available locally. Luckily for those who’ve been holding out all this time, the Xperia Z4 Tablet still has some pretty unreal specs, despite its delayed launch.
Key specs include a 10.1-inch 2K 2560 x 1660 resolution IPS display offering 299 ppi, a Snapdragon 810 octa-core 64-bit chip with Adreno 430 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage that’s expandable up to an additional 128GB with microSD, an 8.1-megapixel camera and 5.1-megapixel front camera, as well as a 6000mAh battery.
As is expected of a premium Sony device, the Xperia Z4 Tablet is IP68 certified dust and water proof to certain limits. The Xperia Z4 Tablet is available with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box and measures 254 x 167 x 6.1 mm with a total 389g weight for the WiFi model, while the LTE is four grams heavier at 393g.
Sony Mobile Australia is making the black model Xperia Z4 Tablet in LTE form available through Telstra retailers nationwide either outright at RRP $888 or for $62 per month on the carrier’s Go Mobile Broadband plan over 24 months. For a limited time and while stocks last, customers who go through Telstra will receive a bonus Bluetooth keyboard valued at $299.
The Xperia Z4 Tablet WiFi variant will also make its way to Sony Kiosks, Sony Centres and the Sony Online store for RRP $799. Sony Australia will release more details in the coming weeks.
