Allphones November catalogue reveals Sony Xperia TX, LG Optimus L9, other coming soon

I know that a lot of people have been very interested in Sony, Samsung and LG’s upcoming phones. While the LG-built Nexus 4 is coming in mid-November, it looks like we have another LG phone coming up that many of us will be interested in. We’re looking at the LG Optimus L9, the Sony Xperia TX, J, arco S and the Samsung Galaxy Music making a debut this month in Australia.

LG’s 4.7-inch Optimus L9 comes in with a big, nice screen but mid-range specs. It will likely be sold at an interesting price point, no doubt having to be cheaper than the Nexus 4 – if it wants to sell at all that is. While the specs overall aren’t up to scratch with the Nexus 4, it does feature LG’s custom UI and expandable memory through SD card. I’d still go for the Nexus 4, but if this is sold at the right price point then it will definitely appeal for those of us who want a large screen, expandable memory and don’t mind mid-range specs. Oh, it also has a 2,150 mAh battery which is sure to keep you trucking through the day.

Next up are the upcoming Sony phones. Sony’s flagship Xperia TX, which features in the newest Bond film and in some of our dreams. It comes packing something exciting features, with the number 1 item on the list being “as used by James Bond” – hilarious. It also has a 4.6″ display, a dual-core A15 processor and a 13 megapixel camera. If you’re a Sony fan then this is most definitely the phone for you.

I was a huge fan of the Xperia S and I expect the TX to not let any one down. The main issue would have to be that it is still running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, making it two generations of Android behind the latest 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Other notable items are the Xperia J and arco S that have either already launched or about to launch respectively. The J is Sony’s low-range phone, but it really does have some decent specs. It’s running on ICS, has a 4″ screen and a 5 megapixel camera, just what you’d expect. Check out the full listing here and the full listing for the arco S here.

The last notable new phone coming is definitely the Samsung Galaxy Music, which was only announced a few weeks ago. This is Samsung’s tiny ICS-running phone (promised upgrade to Jelly Bean) that has a major function of being a music player. It has a 3-inch low-res screen, is light, has 512MB of RAM and expandable memory up to 32GB via microSD.  It’s going to be selling for just $149 – check out the full details over on Allphones’ site.

Anyway, those are the new phones coming to Allphones for November. We yesterday got an invite to Samsung’s event for the Galaxy Note II’s launch in Australia on November 14th – so we can expect that to come down under soon too. If you were (im)patiently waiting for the Sony Xperia TX to come down under then now is the time to jump in joy.

Definitely I will go for Nexus 4 no matter how cheap LG G is because we like Google phone. But I just want to know whether there will be other manufactures Nexus mobile phone coming this year as the rumours said before.

If no, Nexus 4 for sure.

Doubtful, very doubtful. The Nexus 4 looks the go.

Galaxy Music should be banned. I am already cringing at the use of it on public transport where people think everyone likes crappy music and needs to hear it!

they would have announced it with the N4 and probably not called the N4 the N4 if it were part of a group of nexii, i highly doubt there will be a group this year, i think the rumours that spread about a “family of nexus” that fueled the multi nexus phone dream was talking about the 4,7 and 10 line up
