Samsung: working to “address Australian market specific issues for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus”

Jelly-Bean_GNexus

Samsung has today released a statement (via the Vodafone blog) releasing some very interesting information about the Galaxy Nexus. As we all know, the Galaxy Nexus on Australian carriers has not yet received the update to Jelly Bean, while the Nexus S has (on Vodafone) and the international Galaxy Nexus is enjoying the sweetness of Jelly Bean.

As such, Samsung has listened to the Australian public’s words and has addressed the issue of the Galaxy Nexus problem, somewhat. Unfortunately, Sammy has really not said too much besides for the fact that they are working on it. Here’s the quote -

Samsung are working as quickly as possible to address Australian market specific issues for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. We will launch the Jellybean software as soon as the software has met all our quality checks and is network tested and approved by our partners.

And that’s about it. The update is coming some time and Samsung is working on it. Don’t expect it to come any time soon though.

    What are the “specific Issues”
does it affect all galaxy or is it just galaxy note?

Google have the Jelly Bean images for the international one for download… anyone could just do that if they don’t want to wait for carriers! It’s all automated now, no more CMD commands

oh they must be taking about that crippling issue that makes all international version gnex’s running jb utterly useless…oh wait that’s not a thing, the only aus specific issue is the gnex didn’t sell well and the aus have no balls or sway to make Samsung move faster so there’s one poor intern at sammy running a test suite built for a team of ten

oh a don’t get your hopes up yet this post confirms that our great carriers are ‘waiting for the update from Samsung’ they must then bloat it and test it for their networks/company policies then it all goes back to Samsung for certification and distribution see you all 2013
