Two Googlers respond to the Nexus rumours, just say “LOL.”

While there’s been very little word from Google itself about the next Nexus (well, none at all) one Googler has made a statement of a sort on his Google+. This is what Dan Morill (from Google) had to say:

Reading rumor sites…. LOL.

We’re not sure what this means, and as always, we really have no suggestion as to whether the rumours are right or wrong. Is Dan laughing because we all have it wrong, or is Dan laughing because whoever spilt the beans couldn’t keep their mouth shut? Well, we just don’t know, but I’m sure Dan is sitting at home laughing that all of us ‘rumour sites’ are posting about his comment.

Then, another Googler got involved in the action. I’m sure you all know Jean-Baptiste Queru, from the Android Open Source Project. Well, he got involved by stirring the pot that little more and just saying this:

“LOL” indeed

Given my job, I happen to know the plan for the next release: the version number, the target release date, the hardware, the feature set, and it’s really hilarious to compare that to the rumors.

The tension around this one just keeps on mounting.
