Samsung to launch Galaxy S III Mini today, might come to Crazy John’s

Untitled

With the Samsung Galaxy S III’s major competitor being the 4-inch iPhone 5, it makes sense for Samsung to bring out a phone very similar to it. That is, the Galaxy S III Mini. The Mini takes on a similar appearance & look to the Galaxy S III, but has some slightly lower specs and a 4-inch screen. Oh, and it comes preloaded with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, Sammy’s pretty good at that now.

Here’s the leaked specifications to expect:

  • 800×480 display resolution
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
  • 1GHz STE U8420 chipset
  • 1GB RAM
  • 5MP camera
These are just the leaked/rumoured specifications, we’ll know more later this evening/tomorrow when the official announcement is made by Samsung.
Crazy John’s made a Tweet about the matter this morning, hinting at the possibility of an Australian release. I followed it up and this is what CJ had to say -

This is a very light suggestion, but I guess there is a possibility of this phone coming to Australia. If sales overseas go well, then it looks like Australian carriers (or at least Crazy John’s) would be interested!
