Rumour: Is the Galaxy Note II launching in Australia on October 19th?
Update: We reached out to Samsung’s PR rep and they have no knowledge of a Samsung pop-up store. However, they requested to not be quoted on the matter as they are not official Samsung spokespersons. This could mean anything.
Update 2: It appears as though this is not for the Galaxy Note II. The pop-up store is oddly for a new Volkswagen car that is being heavily promoted with posters of a similar feel. This comes from a Whirlpool member who has apparently taken a peak inside and spotted something to do with VW. The waiting continues.
Before I start this story I’d like to say that this is purely speculation. There is no solid evidence to suggest that Samsung will be launching this device any time soon, besides for the rumours of Optus testing the 4G variant and a store rep letting us know it should come in November. We reached out to Samsung and they didn’t say much, however, online retailers are selling it themselves.
Anyway, to top off all of these rumours we’ve just been tipped off to a pop-up stand that is being set up on George St, right next to the famous Apple Store and down the road from Samsung’s Experience Store (where we met the Samsung Bottle). Anyway, the pop-up store doesn’t have too much to it right now besides for a little bit of a teaser.

The pop-up features a distinctive blue and white colouring, which the Note II also features. It also has two exclamation marks (!) on either side, marking that this could be for number two of something. Say, the Galaxy Note II? Lastly, the store has the date 19.10.12 written directly in the centre.
Does this mean what we think it means? Is the Galaxy Note II launching in Australia on October 19th? Please take this with a huge grain of salt as for the time being we are not sure, however, there aren’t any other major announcements that we can line this up with right now.
What do you think? Is this Samsung hinting at the Galaxy Note II’s impending Australian announcement/release?
Thanks: Myles via Norman!
