Motorola RAZR M available in Telstra stores on October 30

The Motorola RAZR M.

Telstra has just announced that the Motorola RAZR M will be on sale in Telstra stores from Tuesday, the 30th of October. The RAZR M will be available on Telstra’s 4G network for $0 on the $60 Telstra Every Day Connect plan over 24 months, or outright for $600 RRP. Preorders for the RAZR M were opened very recently, and while it was projected that the RAZR M would go on sale in November, Telstra and Motorola seem to be a little ahead of schedule.

The RAZR M is the little brother to the Motorola RAZR HD that we reviewed earlier; featuring a 4.3″ edge-to-edge qHD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 SoC, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage with microSD expansion, 4G LTE support, an 8MP camera, HD Voice and a 2000 mAh battery, with the same Kevlar construction that we admired in the RAZR HD. The RAZR M will be launching with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, with an upgrade to Jelly Bean in the next couple of months.

We got to take a quick look at the Motorola RAZR M during the On Display launch event earlier this month, and we were impressed at how few compromises Motorola has made to shrink the RAZR HD’s specs into a smaller shell.

I’m really keen to see this phone in person. Edge to edge excites me (though I would have preferred 3 or 4 edges to be aligned) and I want to see how different this phone is to what else is on the market.
