Nexus 4 available for pre-order early in the UK, specs galore

It looks like Carphone Warehouse in the UK has decided to put details of the already much-leaked Nexus 4 by LG up and opened preorders for the device a little early. What’s more, they’ve provided a practically complete list of specs to go with the preorder page.

The specs revealed in Carphone Warehouse’s listing are more or less in line with the LG Optimus G:

  • 1280 x 768 4.7″ LCD display
  • 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor
  • 8GB internal storage (sad trombone)
  • Android 4.2
  • Gesture Typing (seemingly like Swype)
  • 8MP rear camera, NFC, front facing camera

There is a chance that it’s simply a round up of existing rumours, which we’ve seen happen before, but given the detail and presentation of the preorder page we’re guessing that Carphone Warehouse have just jumped the gun. More interesting is the meagre 8GB of storage, which many users may find inadequate. Pining for a Nexus 4? Let us know in the comments!

And still missing from all these specs… what 3g / 4g frequencies it will run on!!

I don’t even want to think what I’ll do if there’s no Australian 4G frequency.

They also list the price 390 euro for a 8gb. As you said before, Google choose LG because of cheap price and etc. So I don’t think the price is cheap enough.

Yes, but prices may be very different over here to in the UK.

Yep, hope so. If $600 for a 16GB and LTE that’s reasonable.

And an LCD screen – I love them.
