Leak: It’s nearly here! The official press render for the LG Nexus leaked
Editor’s Note: One odd point to note is that the notification bar of the above image has the time in the centre, while the image below has it in the usual right hand position. As with anything before the official announcement, take it with a grain of salt. However, we’re pretty certain this is the real deal and the outer casing is of the phone to be announced in four days. The software/nexus logo are a bit iffy, but all will be revealed shortly.
We here at Android Australia are (im)patiently awaiting Google’s October 29th press event where the next Nexus device(s) are expected to be announced.
You’ve probably already seen the alleged images of the LG Nexus that have been circulating on the web, but overnight Android Central has found official press render images of the alleged LG Nexus leaked via noted Twitter leaker @evleaks. The images appear consistent with the prior images leaked on the web and is further support that the next Nexus phone will indeed be manufactured by LG.
For those of you who are already using Android 4.1.x Jelly Bean, such as on the Nexus 7, you will notice that the press render reveals a few things about the alleged LG Nexus:
1) Consistent with the Nexus 7, the back of the device reveals a big “nexus” logo rather than the “Google” logo that was seen on prior Nexus phones.
2) The notification tray is slightly different, suggesting that it has been modified and improved.
3) The LG Nexus continues with Google’s push for no hardware buttons on Android devices.
Excited?
There’s only four more sleeps to go before the biggest Nexus event of the year, so stay tuned and we’ll bring you all the news as it comes!
