HTC launches HTC Sync Manager, helps manage your media content across devices

HTC Sync Manager

How many times have you heard or thought, “but how can I sync my Android with my Mac?” Well, even though there are other alternatives in the market such as DoubleTwist or moving over to online Google services, HTC has an answer.

HTC have just unveiled their HTC Sync Manager to help you sync your media content, contacts, calendar, etc from your computer to your Android. The Sync Manager allows you to sync your media content (e.g. images, music [iTunes and Windows Media Player libraries too!], docs, bookmarks) and your personal info. It also comes with a multimedia manager to help you manage all that media content that you’re now syncing. I haven’t tested out the manager (having personally been completely absorbed into the cloud) but it seems to be quite good.

The following HTC devices are supported (some Australian, some American):

HTC One X, HTC One XL, HTC One XC, HTC One S, HTC One V, HTC EVO 4G LTE, HTC Droid Incredible 4G, HTC J, HTC Desire C, HTC Desire VC, and HTC Desire V

If your device is on the list then head over to the site for download and check it out – it may be what you’re looking for.

Isn’t physically plugging your phone in to sync kind of outdated these days? Cmon HTC – Android is built on The Cloud!

Definitely. I’ve plugged my phone in literally once since I got it. It should never be needed

Yep, I haven’t plugged an Android phone in (besides for charging purposes) in about 18 months.

I’ll admit I don’t plug my phone in regularly, but I do on occasion. If I want to chuck a few movies on it, it seems a bit easier to plug it in then drag and drop rather then using dropbox or something like that, so whenever I fly somewhere, it gets plugged in. So I’ll be looking into this further when I get home tonight.
