[Update: 3G variant not available in Australia] 32GB Nexus 7 available from Google Play for $299, 16GB for $249

Update: Google has just informed us that the 3G version is not coming to Australia. Here’s what they said:

The 3G Nexus 7 is not available in Australia and we have nothing to announce about the 3G model in Australia at this time.

Update 2: While our Google contact has said the above quote, it appears that the Google Australia blog says that we will have it in mid-November. We’ll update you as we have it.

We’ve all been expecting this to happen and it has finally occurred. It appears that the 32GB variant of the Nexus 7 is finally here. The 32GB variant is the same in every way to the 16GB one, just having twice the memory and taking its price point.

Google tells us in their blog post that the 3G model is available in over 200 GSM variants around the world, but we can’t quite seem to find it in our Play Store yet. We’ve contacted Google and will update this article when we hear more about Australian availability of the 3G model.

Besides for all of that, the Nexus 7 is the same as the one we became a pardon to in July this year:
