Rumour: White & Black variants of the LG Nexus 4 to be announced on October 29th?

Another day, another fresh batch of rumours about the next Nexus phone. We’ve seen quite a few images of this device leak, as well as a fairly detailed list of specs (and here) that makes us both happy and sad at the same time. Now, another day, we’ve had a whole slew of new rumours build on the old ones and provide just a little bit more scope of what we can expect to see.

First of all, a tipster sent an image into The Verge of Carphone Warehouse’s inventory system with some interesting findings. The system clearly shows ‘LGNEXUS4BLACK’ and ’LGNEXUS4WHITE.’ This tells us that two things are quite likely – the phone will be called the LG Nexus 4 and it will be available in the black and white variants – exciting!

The other thing that we’re hearing today is that Phandroid have caught onto something from the French Le Figaro. It appears as though the official announce by LG and Google is set for October 29th, which really isn’t too far away. No one in the Android/tech sphere appear to have received invitations for any kind of event, which makes this more of a rumour than anything. However, it could always be announced at All Things Digital’s event around that time.

I’m taking this one with a pile of salt for the time being, but we’ll be keeping an eye on it.
