Photos of LG Nexus device leak

nexusae0_optimus_nexus_1

We’ve heard hints of the next Nexus phone (or one of them, at least) being manufactured by LG, but finally we’ve seen proof of its existence. Photos sent to Android and Me and found separately by Android Police that allegedly originate from a Belarussian forum show off a phone with LG and Google branding, and an industrial design that, at the front, looks quite similar to the Galaxy Nexus. The back seems to have a flashy, glittery texture, but without a side view it’s hard to be certain how thin the final device, which has tentatively been given the model number E960, will be.

The rumoured specs are in line with the released Optimus G, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC, an Adreno 320 GPU and a 4.7″ display. The Nenamark benchmark associated with the code name Mako claims the device is running JellyBeanMR1, a maintenance release of Jelly Bean with an unknown Android version number. We still haven’t heard any official date for a Nexus announcement by Google, so it’s hard to say when we’ll see such a device on sale.

If this turns out to be one of the Nexus devices released in the coming weeks, would you buy it?

Looks way too much like the Galaxy Nexus from the front. How are they going to get away with this? Or does Google own the design to all Nexus phones? The back looks interesting though…

The back is similar design to the Optimus G and looks quite nice. The front is very like the Galaxy Nexus (and somewhat the Nexus S without buttons) so I am guessing that Google set the design :P

I’m a bit suss about the front but it could be true and Google is going for a consistent look. Time will tell.
