Images of Sony Nexus X leak? Probably Not.

Nexus X ft img

Images of an alleged Sony Nexus X leaked overnight. While the images look to hold some truth, there is a whole lot of backlash as to the origin (and legitimacy) of whether or not these this is a real or fake device. After some hard thought and looking at the images of the ‘Nexus X’ in question, it would be hard to take these images as truth.

The front of the device looks to be in order, especially with the front speaker (at the top of the device) looking very similar to what has been found on the LG Nexus 4. Besides for a few very minor issues with app alignment, it looks to be in order.

This is except for one detail. As the guys over at Android Police picked up (boy, how we love them), there appear to be a reflection/imprint of a hand holding the phone. This is would either appear from the way in which the photographer was holding the camera, or was very cleverly placed there to tell the Android world to stop posting these image leaks, much like the elaborate hoax of a couple weeks ago. It does look like the photographer is holding up the finger to the camera. The front of the device is also missing the Google Search bar that is found on all Nexus devices and the Play Store is without a title – very fishy indeed.

Then we go to the back of the device.

The back of the ‘Sony Nexus X’ has a whole host of problems. The SONY logo is scuffed/faded in a horribly poor form of photo-shopping. The question is – why would a Nexus device that hasn’t come out yet be scuffed/faded anyway? The back also has different colours, fading and a placed Google logo that just doesn’t sit right with me. Something isn’t right here.

Lastly, the charger on the side of the device (while it is positioned oddly for a Nexus device) appears to be a job of pure photo-shopping once again. I’m not going to say whether this device is going to come or not. We’d all love to see a Sony built Nexus device, but it looks like it won’t be in the form of this phone.
