Google’s 2012 Android event set for the 29th of October, live stream from YouTube available
The next Google Android event has been announced to be on the 29th of October. It will be hosted in New York city as well as live streamed on YouTube.
An invitation was sent out recently with the line “The playground is open.” This could refer to the Play Store or even the fact that Android is open sourced. The theme replicates that of Google Now, however.
Interestingly, this is the same day as the Windows Phone 8 Launch. Coincidence? I think not.
The event will most likely reveal Google’s plans for Android, including new Nexus device(s) as well as Android 4.2. Maybe. We’ve already heard a bit about Android 4.2, like an improved Gmail and Quick Settings. The next Nexus story is a bit more interesting, with the tech world pretty certain that the Nexus 4 will be the next Nexus phone, and it may be available in both black and white. Onliner.by recently got their hands on the rumoured Nexus 4 and have posted a detailed review, in-case that tickles your fancy. Want some more proof? Here’s more images.
Only time will tell. It commences 10am local time which is 1am Tuesday the 30th Sydney time. Will you be watching the event live?
