Google+ for Android updated, added functionality to control pages from mobile app
Great news ladies and gentlemen, the long awaited moment has finally arrived! Google+ has been updated and includes a variety of new functional features.
First of all, Google has finally included the ability to manage your page from within the mobile app (thank you!). It’s a bit clunky at the moment – you need to sign out of your personal and into your page – but it does work. I’m sure that over time Google will refine this and make it much smoother and easier to use. For the time being though, Google has listened and we can finally manage our pages on the move!

Google has also included a new ‘Find People’ tab for finding people or pages to add. IT’s categorized by people you may know, sports, fashion, etc. If you’re looking to get more into the Google+ scene but don’t know who to follow then it’s a good bet. Or, you could always start by following Android Australia!
Lastly, Google has included a new homescreen widget that looks that little bit nicer. The page management also work on iOS now too, so Google’s keeping the whole thing consistent – good work!
Over on TechCrunch I found what Google’s Anish Acharya had to say -
Today we’re rolling out v3.2 of the Google+ app to Android and iOS; both versions include one of our most highly-requested features: support for Google+ pages. This gives page owners the ability to post, comment, and interact with their followers directly from their mobile device.
So, what are you waiting for? Head on over to the Google Play Store and grab your update!
