Become a hardened criminal now for only $0.99!

Grand Theft Auto III 10 year anniversary

It’s been ten years since the launch of Grand Theft Auto III, and Rockstar Games is celebrating by discounting this iconic game to $0.99.

If you’ve been living under a rock, the Grand Theft Auto line of games let you play a bad-@## protagonist performing missions to make your way through criminal society (to be read as steal, kill, blow up things, do drive by shootings, visit adult venues and all those cool things) becoming meaner and badder as you go along.

In Grand Theft Auto III you play as Claude, a criminal who was previously betrayed by his girlfriend.  After being released from prison, Claude enters Liberty City where he has to make his way back into the criminal world ’til he’s ready (and bad enough) to enact revenge.

For a game that’s ten years old, the 3D world and freedom to roam the streets (not to mention comandeer cars, take out unsuspecting citizens, or even take on army tanks) sure won me over.

So if this sounds up your alley, or if you want to relive the (lawless) dream, head on down to Google Play before the sale is over.  Liberty City awaits you.

One of the first games I truly got ‘lost’ in, I knew that city like the back of my hand, created a full on fan site that included instead of all the hidden packages too and oddly I never knew claudes name until about 3months ago lol, for those wondering its mentioned at the end of San Andreas, although not directly showing him with a name tag , the ‘naming’ Mentions the robbery that opens gta 3 so it’s almost impossible to not be him.

Oh Ye the app is downright fantastic, its literally the gta 3 you love and remember nothing lost (or added) to fit mobile (they are that powerful now) save for a well thought out control scheme and tweaks to the shooting to fit touchscreen you will have no issue playing this with touch.. even if you do connect up your ps3 controller and play like the good old days.

Of all the GTAs, this is the one I enjoyed the most. Even after playing the game i continued roaming the streets looking for trouble :)

agreed, only game where pointless ,endless taxi/ambo missions are fun way after the missions are over
