HTC announce another addition to the One family – the One SC, exclusive to China
We wouldn’t normally report on a phone that is destined only for China, but we thought this one to be just a little interesting. For a couple of reasons that is. First off, this phone has an incredibly interesting/odd design. Secondly, this is yet another phone for the One Series line-up, but just where does it fit in?
When the Desire X was announced, we had a little discussion going about its place in the One Series line-up. The One SC is pretty much of the same specifications as the Desire X, yet it has a different design and slightly different points. However, this is a phone destined only for China so HTC may expect some sales there where other phones in the line-up may not reach.
Here’s the specifications:
- 4.3-inch WVGA display
- Android 4.0 with HTC Sense 4.0
- dual-core 1 GHz processor
- 8.85mm thin body
- 4GB internal storage
- 116g of weight
In any case, this is yet another phone from HTC, which brings it to six different models so far (One X, XL, S, V, SC & Desire X, Desire C) – getting a bit too many in my opinion. At the end of last year HTC said that they were changing their strategy and bringing out less phones.
