Samsung Galaxy S IV launching at Mobile World Congress 2013? Doubt it.

Well, this is really quite strange. Word is coming out that Samsung is going to be announcing the next iteration of the Galaxy S series earlier than usual.

There is apparently word from a rep of a Samsung partner that the Galaxy S IV will be the first of Samsung’s new yearly product launches.

Samsung wants to keep its one-year product schedule and the Galaxy S4 will be the first to match that strategy. The S4 will see some external changes but retain its popular rectangular shape with rounded corner concept.

The device is said to be announced at MWC is Barcelona, for a global launch in March. If you ask me it’s a bit soon and if Samsung wanted to do something like this it should have been for the Galaxy S III. Now that so many people have bought a phone that has been marketed so heavily, it seems as though Samsung would be turning their happy customers into the angry sort.

Keep it calm Sammy, wait until May 2013. Then we’ll all be happy campers.

that would be less then a year since the s3 anyway, i see no issue with it being announced at MWC in FEB but not launched in MAR
