Google+ hits 400 million users, 100 million monthly actives – AA hits +1000

You’ve got to love a good milestone! Today, we have some very exciting news! Google+ has hit the massive milestone of 400,000,000 users, with 100,000,000 of them active on a monthly basis. I can proudly say that I am one of that bunch! Having become more and more active on Google+ over the last couple months, I have really been enjoying my time there.

In excitement, this is what Vic himself had to say:

This week we also hit an important milestone–over 400,000,000 people have upgraded to Google+. It was only a year ago that we opened public sign-up, and we couldn’t have imagined that so many people would join in just 12 months. While Google+ is all about creating a better experience across Google, it’s also a destination. And here too, I’m happy to report that we have just crossed 100,000,000 monthly active users on Google+ (plus.google.com and mobile app).

But, this isn’t just an exciting time for Google+! It is also an exciting time for Android Australia. Just a few days ago we surpassed +1000 on Google+! Our community is growing stronger every day and we are still just getting started. A big thank you to everyone who has followed us on Google+ and we hope to keep our numbers steadily growing. By the way, we have something special planned for the celebration (along with hitting 2,000 likes on Facebook).

    awe a few days ago i was hoping i was 1000th earlier today hahah

    good to see g+ hitting milestones an building users id love to see it take off as more then the facebok try hard its known as, also interesting that they claim to ” we couldn’t have imagined that so many people would join in just 12 months.” meaning g+ is smashing expectations which is good for a google products lifespan lol

      Ah, sorry you missed out on the 1000th! It’s good that G+ is doing so well and I’m predicting a lot more success in the next 12 months, too.

        dang lol, ill admint i dont use it as much as i should being the diehard google guy but i have noticed something recently, that being google have weaved g+ beautifully into its other g-apps, of which i use heavily, ive found myself winding up a g+ whilst using other gapps, especially photos, all the time.
