Galaxy Note 10.1 in Hong Kong August 16th for $609
We’ve just discovered in a press release via The Verge that the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is expected to be on sale in Hong Kong on August 16th, 2 weeks earlier than the anticipated global release date. The 3G variety will retail for HKD 4,998, which equates to about $609 AUD. It’s actually quite an affordable tablet if Australia is fortunate enough to have a similar price.
As we’ve previously reported, the latest addition to the Galaxy family is expected to be released in Australia before the end of August. It’s specs are quite nice, with it running the quad-core Exynos 4, weighing 600 grams and packing 2GB of RAM. It will also be shipping with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich as should be expected.
If you haven’t seen the video Samsung released with its announcement a couple days ago, you should definitely take a look below.
Additionally, we have reached out to Samsung regarding an official statement on an Australian release date but they’re keeping the details quiet for now. We’ll let you know when we have more.
