Android 4.1 Jelly Bean coming to the International Galaxy S III next week?

GS3JellyBean (1)

The guys over at Android Central have today revealed some very interesting and exciting news. Through some inside information from “sources familiar with Samsung’s plans” AC has just reported that the update is right around the corner.

The update is expected to bring a whole host of Jelly Bean features to the SGS3, including Google Now and Project Butter. You can also expect to see a whole lot of new TouchWiz features to make the experience better. If you’re after a sneak peak of the update, you can check out our full run-down of the features to expect. We got our hands on an earlier ROM and did a full test to see how things were running.

If you own the international variant of the Galaxy S III then this is most certainly the time to get excited. We can now sit back and wait as Samsung attempts to get out one of the fastest updates in Android history.

If you’ve bought yours from a carrier then you’d probably expect to see an update in the near-ish future. If we go by history we can expect to see a 1-2 month bump in the time that you’ll need to wait, but this is an extraordinary circumstance. Seeing as though Samsung got the update out so quickly, perhaps they’ll push carriers to push it so quickly too.

Hello Josh, How do you know if you own an international variation of the Gallaxy please? I purchased my phone outright through Dicksmiths. Have you heard any negatives about battery life with the S3. My phone gets a maximum of about an hour on wifi using the internet then it starts to fade fast. I am comparing this to my iPhone 4 that was two years old and i would be on all the time surf the internet for hours, chat on FB then might need a charge a day or so later. I am also having Bluetooth issues with my 2010 Toyota Corolla and the S3 that no one can fix its a version issue Toyota don’t have a fix for. Samsung help centre were rude and had no fix either basically I was told it was not Samsungs fault that the blue tooth does not work properly on the Toyota car. I work in the motor industry and found out Holden are also having problems with blue tooth and galaxy S3 phones. Can you provide me some advise on this Bluetooth issue please. I use the Bluetooth in my car all the time and now wish I had not given away my iPhone for the S3.
