There is an unofficial report coming from Samsung enthusiast site, Sammobile, that Samsung’s flagship devices from 2011 and 2012 will be updated to Jelly Bean. Well, the Galaxy S III and Note II are pretty much in order to get the update out and the Galaxy S II and original Note may be seeing a Value Pack (of most of the features but not the full update).

The device updates are currently being tested by Samsung behind the scenes and have apparently been moving along quite smoothly. Test firmwares have apparently passed and the updates are soon heading to public versions of the testing. Of course, we must take this with a grain of salt, but it looks like we will be seeing the update for many of Samsung’s hero devices by the end of the year. SamMobile does tend to be on the money most of the time, too.

Current rumblings link to the Note II launching with Ice Cream Sandwich with a Jelly Bean update just around the corner.

So for a full break down we can expect the:

  • Galaxy S III to be updated at the end of Q3, beginning of Q4
  • Galaxy S II in Q4
  • Galaxy Note in Q4
  • Galaxy Note II in Q4

So, get excited everyone. Your Samsung phones look like they will be updated soon!
