LG announces the Optimus L9, might launch in Australia
Yesterday afternoon word came in that LG had launched the LG Optimus L9. No, it’s not the same powerhouse device as the Opimus G, but it’s a very interesting phone that could attract many. The Optimus L9 takes pieces from mid-range devices and pieces from high-end devices to make an attractive little (or, big) package.
Not forgetting that some of us want a big screen but don’t particularly care what’s under the hood, LG has made quite a cumbersome phone. Here’s the full specifications:
- Dual-core 1GHz processor
- Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
- 4.7″ IPS display
- 1GB of RAM
- 5MP camera
LG Australia is currently reviewing the release of the LG Optimus L9 in the local market. Commercial discussions on device release timing and sales channels are ongoing and further information will be provided as soon as details are available.
So, it looks like if things go smoothly then we’ll be seeing the Optimus L9 down under. Otherwise, we’ll just have to wait. The best thing about this device must be the huge 2,150 mAh battery, which is sure to make the Optimus L9 last an eternity.
Would you use a device with a 4.7″ screen but not amazing specifications?
