ASUS Australia says every Nexus 7 shipment sells out within 1-2 weeks

Nexus7url

ASUS has let some very interesting information out today via Twitter. User @Montalbert asked ASUS about the Nexus 7 sales figures and got a reply about how fast these things are selling. Just as we had thought, the Nexus 7 is selling like absolute hot-cakes. You can barely find it anywhere and most place are consistently sold-out.

Even if you do find a Nexus 7 in stock though, you damn better hurry. The Nexus 7s are (according to the ASUS Twitter rep) selling out within 1-2 weeks of arriving on our shores.

If you’re after a Nexus 7 but have been finding it difficult to find stock – this is why.

A cheers to @Montalbert for finding this out!

im not surprised everyone i know whos been a fence sitter about tablets ahs been swayed by the 7 and gotten on, the extra incentive of $25 play store credit probably helps.

interesting attachment to this too my local eb games has a sign out the front written in marker saying “first shipment of nexus 7 order now” but the “first” bit has been crossed out and second and then third written in its place, pretty amazing considering the short time its been out

Very true that, very true. I’ve had quite a few personal friends very interested in the Nexus 7 that didn’t even think a tablet was useful before.

Would it be possible to take a snap of the sign the next time you pass the store?

Hmm, Isn’t Scott(@montalbert) one of the podcasters for Ausdroid?

I don’t know, I’ve never seen him on the site nor listened to the podcast. I saw this on my Twitter feed from ASUS Australia.

So you deleted my comment that linked to the Ausdroid About page…well that’s a little bit rude. The Ausdroid guys also mentioned it in the post they did on this subject last night

Graham, I’m not sure if you received the email I sent you but it was to let you know that the previous comment was marked as spam because it was just a plain link with no explanation, and for the sake of our readers we delete all spam comments. I’d advise you to check the email I personally sent you explaining why it was deleted.

I’ve spoken to Josh, the author of this post, and as he said he discovered this news through a tweet made by Asus, not from the site you’re talking about. I appreciate you being on our site but it’s not for you to determine our author’s sources.

          Thanks for reading
