Pinterest launches on Android

pinterest-for-android-648x408

After a long time of waiting (and some whining) Android users can now enjoy the wonderful world of Pinterest. I myself am not much of a ‘Pinterester’  but will be taking the app for a spin to see how it goes.

Upon starting it up Pinterest first asks you to select some images that may interest you – a bit presumptuous if you ask me. I do prefer to select from a list and not from a selected title-less images that I’m not sure what I’m clicking. Then again, I am new to the world of Pinterest.

Anyway, the app seems to be very well made and they’ve obviously made sure that it runs as smooth as a whistle before launch. Head over to the Play Store yourself, have a free download and indulge yourself in the interesting world of Pins!

I decided to try it out myself and make my very first Pin, seen on the right-most image above. An image of my Chromebook with some Android Australia fan-ware on. Oh, did I not mention we have stickers now?

As always, be sure to let us know how you like the app!

Can’t help it but I have to ask, I’ve been looking at getting a Chromebook…HOW ARE THEY? :) is it worthwhile getting one?

Haha. I love my Chromebook. For everything I need it for it is absolutely perfect. It is incredibly fast at web browsing and can access Australian 3G networks very easily.

It has its obvious drawbacks (tiny internal storage, lack of offline apps) but for what I use it for I couldn’t ask for anything better. When I’m offline the only thing I really need is a word processor (and I have one). When I’m online I have the online world at my fingertips and it works like a charm.

I’d definitely recommend to anyone who wants one for the purpose it is meant for.

Damn it haha. After reading that I’m pretty much sold on getting one. Good thing is that wherever I am whether that be on campus at uni or at home I have wifi pretty much everywhere. Where did you buy it from?? As far as I’m aware BestBuy doesn’t ship to Australia :(
