Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies now available on Android, exclusive to Xperia devices for the first month

Rumours were starting to rumble up from the ground last week, breathing new life into Activision’s groundbreaking Call of Duty: Black Ops. Well, not the entire game but more so the Nazi zombi slaying game.

The game has been available on iOS for some time now, but it’s always good when we get them ported over to Android. In my eyes it’s only a matter of time until iOS fan-sites are saying the exact same thing for themselves.

There’s nothing else in this world or the underworld like Call of Duty. We can’t wait to unleash Zombies to our fans.

How right you are. However, there’s a small catch. For the first month the game is launching exclusively for Sony Xperia phones. For such a blockbuster game I am not too impressed that I can’t get my hands on it for such a long time and the excitement will definitely wane down over the coming month. If you can wait, though, it does look to be a great shoot ‘em up for your mobile device.

Greg Canessa, Vice President of Mobile Development, Activision Publishing, Inc. said:

We couldn’t be more excited to launch first on Sony’s critically acclaimed line-up of Xperia devices.

The game supports both single and multiplayer modes. So if you’re in a WiFi connected location, you can connect with up to four friends and start slaying zombies. Sounds good to me.

If you’ve got a Sony Xperia device then head over to the Google Play store and you can grab the game for $7.49. If you’ve got any other device (like myself) then you’ll unfortunately have to wait a month. At the end of the day, what is another month?

Will you be forking out the $7.49 for Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies?
