Samsung’s BT S Pen let’s you make calls from your Stylus

Samsung have just brought out a brand new little goody. It’s called the BT S Pen and is in direct competition with ASUS’ stylus that comes with the PadFone – bad luck ASUS, looks like Samsung are getting this mainstream first.

The BT S Pen is very similar to the Samsung’s very successful S Pen. It has the same functions, the same features – but one thing that is just so different. You may have picked it, but the BT stands for Bluetooth. Yes, this pen is packed with Bluetooth, a microphone and a little speaker. The BT S Pen allows you to make calls through your pen!

How does it work?
The BT S Pen pairs to your Galaxy Note device via Bluetooth. It allows you to hold it up to the side of your head (tip next to your mouth and top next to your ear). When you receive a call it will vibrate and alert you to a call coming through. Then just simply hold the BT S Pen to your ear as you would with a phone and speak into it.

It reportedly does feel a bit weird to use, but the sound quality and usability are said to be of good quality.

I guess this is better than holding a 10.1″ Galaxy Note tablet up to your ear.
