Vodafone Motorola Xoom 3G receiving ICS on July 30th

For all your Motorola Xoom 3G users (who got it with Vodafone) this is your lucky day! Vodafone has just announced via their blog that the 3G variant of the OG Motorola Xoom will finally be updated for some Ice Cream Sandwich goodness – and they’ve taken their time too.

The US version of the Xoom was lucky enough to receive the update months ago, while Telstra and the WiFi variants down under were dished up some ICS about a month ago. Now is Vodafone’s turn and the first Android tablet will finally be updated to the (now) second most recent Android version.

The update is scheduled to begin rolling out on July 30th, so we’ll give you all another heads up when it actually goes live. For now you can sit back and enjoy the last week of the glitchy/laggy OS that is Honeycomb.
