HTC confirms One X(L), One S to receive Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

HTC have recently confirmed that a few of their One series phones will in fact be updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The only phone to miss out on an official announcement is the One V, but I guess that is expected as it is the weakest of the bunch. Here’s HTC’s official word on the matter.

We know HTC fans are excited to get their hands on Google’s latest version of Android. At this point in time, we can confirm that we have plans to upgrade our HTC One X, HTC One XL and HTC One S to Jelly Bean. Please stay tuned for more updates regarding device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Jelly Bean.

We expect the phones to continue running Sense 4.0 when the update comes around, but as Jelly Bean is now a more fluid UI with more screen transition animations we may see it toned down some more. I know that I myself would be a huge fan of this and would love to see an even leaner and trimmer Sense UI.

We’ll know more when the day rolls around. For now, who’s excited to get some Jelly Bean on your One phone?

I would hope that they make the UI faster and less bulky :(
