Nexus 7 tablet to be sold in all major Australian retail stores

Ladies and gentlemen, we have some great news today! Not only has Google inducted Australia into the Google Play Store, but we now will be having the Nexus 7 sold in all major retail stores. That’s right, Google is finally making a few more steps down under.

The Nexus 7 will be selling for a slightly higher price than on the Google Play store. Google’s first Nexus tablet will be on sale for $319AU for the 16GB model. This pushes the price up $20, but I guess that can be expected through Supply Chain costs and getting it into the store.

It’s not just a few steps though it seems though, ASUS and Google have gone crazy with the retail partners. Just to mention a few - Harvey Norman, JB Hi-Fi, Dick Smith, Bing Lee, The Good Guys, Retravision, Radio Rentals, Officeworks, EB Games, Costco, BSR and authorised ASUS resellers. The RRP of $319 for the 16GB Google Nexus 7 takes into account the costs associated with shipping the device to Australian stores. We believe this is great value and provides Australian consumers with the convenience of being able to purchase the 16GB Google Nexus 7 from their local store.
