Nike+ Running app, available on Google Play
For all of our fit Android enthusiasts, the release of the Nike+ Running app on Google Play should be very exciting news. The application has been available on iPhones and iPods for quite some time now, however a late release is better than none at all.
The app is very similar to its iPhone counterpart, with all of the same core features. Whilst there are many apps available on Google Play which have similar functions, the Nike+ app has always been considered to be the best companion for joggers.

Nike+ allows runners to monitor their performance. This includes the distance traveled and live speed. You can also track your running route with GPS maps.
Nike+ also connects to your music player and allows you to change your songs whilst in the app. Users can also have a preset ‘powersong’. This enables you to pick a song that pumps you up, and when your starting to feel tired and demotivated simply press the powersong button to give you that much needed boost.

Nike+ is also heavily integrated with social media. You can share your runs with friends and set personal and group records. There is no better way to motivate yourself than to promote friendly competition among your mates.
Check out the video bellow which shows the app in use. Note how at the end when the girl manages to set a new record, her friend picks up his Galaxy S III and heads off to put the iPhone user back in her place.
