ASUS Eee Pad Slider SL101 receives Android 4.0 ICS

ASUS-Eee-ASUS-Eee-Pad-Slider-SL101

Just moments after Sony began rolling out the ICS update to Tablet S users down under, ASUS have done the same thing. ASUS have announced over their Facebook page that the update is now ready. The ASUS Eee Pad Slider has followed the original Transformer and become the second of ASUS’ 2011 offering to enjoy some creamy goodness.

If you’re the proud owner of an ASUS Slider than head over to the settings and check for the system update. It’s available over the air so there shouldn’t be any hassles. If you’re lucky enough to be getting some ICS tonight then let us know how it handles!

AI really really liked the slider. . . Then the update came out back in may I think I was so happy! Used it liked it then it started to crash like once every 12hrs or so. I NEVER had to use the reset button until I got 4.0.3. Honestly it looks and is really cool. But when it crashes it won’t restart until I hit the reset it will stay on the Asus loading screen. Destroying my battery life. That’s something I was proud to boasts about to people before the update. You can’t trust the alarm clock. It makes me want to go back to gingerbread. Maybe I got a bad copy. Idk but yeah my past few months I went from almost scraping my computer to my slider getting dusty.

I’m finally going to do a factory reset and update again. If it keeps up I’m rolling back to gingerbread. Balls I don’t want to.

I really do like the slider. It’s to heavy for some but uh its like 1lb come on.

    Thanks for your time
    Sam

Sam – that’s really interesting! I didn’t know the Slider update caused such issues! It’s really great to hear some user feedback on it and give us some more info.
