Vodafone to roll-out ICS for HTC Sensation, XE, XL come May 22nd

Vodafone has today announced on their blog that a few HTC devices will should be receiving the Android 4.0 ICS update on May 22nd. Users of these devices have been waiting for the update for quite some time so it is really good to see a few more 2011 Android’s receive some Ice Cream Sandwich goodness.

The HTC Sensation and Sensation XE are making the move from v2.3.4 to 4.0.3, while the XL is jumping from 2.3.5 to 4.0.3. This update will move these devices over to the second most recent iteration of Ice Cream Sandwich, but will be on-par with the HTC’s flagship, the One X.

The update is expected to begin rolling out at 12pm midday, 22nd May. However, we all know how telcos like to keep us waiting! We’ll keep you update to let you know once the update does go live.
