$74 USB Dongle PC sports Android ICS, 1.5GHz processor, 512MB RAM

Now this is something really quite interesting! The ‘Android 4.0 Mini PC’ has all-of-a-sudden popped into the market – and with some force too. This thing has sold out in just a few days, with the next batch to be ready on June 10th. But the question is, what the heck is this thing?

What is it?

The ‘Android 4.0 Mini PC’ is in essence a computer. It doesn’t by any stretch of the imagination have the highest end specs (especially for a PC) but it has one major thing going for it – it fits in your pocket! This tiny piece of tech is about the size of a USB dongle and has the ability to act as your PC (similar to the Mini Mac – but about 1/20th the size!) The exciting part is that it runs our favourite OS, is up-to-date and running Android 4.0 ICS.

Specs:

  • Single-core 1.5GHz A10 Cortex-A8 processor
  • 512MB RAM
  • 4GB storage
  • HDMI port
  • micro-USB port
  • WiFi
  • 198 grams

How Does it Work?

As mentioned above, the Mini PC comes packing an HDMI and micro-USB port. This gives it the capability to plug into any monitor through an HDMI cable and have a mouse plugged in via the micro-USB port. And there you go, it’s as easy as that! You now have a fully functioning Android PC, which weighs in at just under 200 grams!

This Android PC is really cheap and easy, seeming to be the perfect solution for those of you who are stuck with a broken desktop or in need of ultimate portability. Do you see yourself grabbing one of these or are you the type to go for something more… robust? If you want to pick one up you can follow this link.
