Adobe Sneaks an Update to Flash

It wasn’t a big one, but today Adobe pushed a sneaky update for Flash for Android over the Google Play Store. This interesting move comes in the face of their reports a few months ago that the California based company would be discontinuing their support of Flash on mobile devices.

The update is only going to make a difference to those running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and didn’t even show up in the New Apps section of the Play Store. The only way to find out what actually changed was to check out the Adobe release notes. Pretty much, all the release includes is some critical security patches for 2.3, 3.0 and 4.0, as well as some performance increases for 4.0. These mainly revolve around videos not showing properly or jumping around – you know, the irritating stuff. So even though this isn’t the biggest of changes, it’s still not a bad thing.
