LG Optimus Black gets an up/downgrade!

It took LG long enough. If you are the owner of an LG Optimus Black, it’s your lucky day! The hardware manufacturers have just announced an update to ICS… oh wait, Android 2.3.4?

Yes, that’s right. It seems manufacturers are still updating out-of-date devices across to out-of-date OS’s. They do this because some older devices, processors and other hardware can’t read the new OS coding. It’s a way to clean up old phones, fixing glitches and other problems alike. Just a little disappointing that new OS’s aren’t compatible with older phones.

Regardless, if you’re on Vodafone or 3 Mobile, the update is now available. To get it, hop onto the LG Support Website, type the product number “P970” into the search bar, then just follow the steps.
